Research profile

My research activities are devoted to particle physics applied to hadrontherapy (the technique of cancerous tumor treatment with ion beams). I mainly work on the two following topics :
- the development of a monitoring system for hadrontherpay by prompt radiation detection (prompt gamma and charged light particles) and positron emission tomography (PET)
- the radiobiology of light ions that consists in studying the relation between the physical energy deposited by the ions and its biological effects.

This research activity is carried out among the CAS-PhaBIO group that is involved in the regional program in hadrontherapy (with financial support by National-Regional research project contract 2007-2013), the national program of GDR MI2B (CNRS/IN2P3) and the ENLIGHT++ European network.
